Have a relationship challenge or life obstacle you’re trying to address? Seeking help from a licensed therapist is a way to gain perspective and initiate lasting changes.

Scott is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. He received a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Virginia Tech (2001), Master’s degree in MFT from Auburn University (1996), and B.A. degree in Psychology from Cornell University (1991). For over 25 years, he has worked within clinical training programs, agencies, residential facilities, hospitals, and private practice settings. In 2021, after 20 years as a professor in Seattle Pacific University’s masters MFT clinical training program, Scott has shifted to full time clinical and supervision services.

He has extensive experience with children, adolescents, and families. Scott approaches therapy from holistic and bio-psycho-social-spiritual perspectives influenced by family systems theories. These primarily include experiential, solution focused, and narrative therapies. Scott believes it is important for him to understand your experience of your problems, your hopes for your future, and your family relationships. Your therapy goals and treatment plan will be collaboratively co-created, discussed, and evaluated and he encourages conversation about your perspective of what best fits you.

When individuals make changes, families change as well, and visa-versa. 1+1=3. In other words, Scott attends to each individual as well as the relationship space between them.
