CoHear/BCS has a team of clinically trained specialists, several of whom are Nationally Certified, and are prepared to treat a broad range of problems related to problematic sexual behavior.  Discriminating between issues of poor decisions, boundary issues, sexual compulsivity, and sexual deviancy is our initial challenge.

For those with sexual compulsivity issues, it is not the specific sexual behavior that is the problem, but the urge to engage in it, and the inability to successfully intervene on that urge. This understanding is paramount to successful treatment.

Treatment plans may include the interplay between clinical depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive behavior or bi-polar disorders. The use of EMDR and Lifespan Integration as clinically indicated, as well as medication assessment and management may be recommended.

Group therapy is the preferred treatment modality at CoHear/BCS.
